Horses don't just wear boots to look cute!  Horses will be horses, and we all know that given the opportunity, a horse will injure himself.  Exercise boots provide protection to the bones and tendons in a horse's lower legs during work or play.  They are most helpful in preventing serious injury when a horse steps on or kicks himself, but also offer support when landing after a jump (or a playful leap in the paddock).  Many boots are available with open fronts so that a horse can still feel himself touching the rails on a jump.
