Professional's Choice was started by the parents of Michele Scott over 36 years ago. The original idea for using neoprene in equine boots started when Mr. Scott created a cast protector for himself so that he could keep his leg cast dry when he was swimming. He went on to develop it commercially and then realized that the same material would be excellent to protect and support a horse's leg. He talked to vets, trainers and professionals in the equestrian world and came up with what he called the "Polo Boot". This led eventually to the creation of Professional's Choice. The company takes a scientific approach to their designs and engineered materials, using the engineering departments at leading universities to test their products with the consumer being the ultimate judge.
