Slacklining can be traced back to climbing camps in Yosemite during the mid 1970s. Climbers would camp for weeks, blazing new trails up the mountains. During their spare time they started rigging lines to walk across. The 'slack' in slackline allows people to bounce and do tricks. In addition to being a lot of fun, the climbers found it also improved their core strength, balance and movement for climbing. Gibbon has made slacklining easy and accessible to everyone with the simple set up and more comfortable 2" webbing.
