Born from the desire to make a boot that would deliver explorers comfortably into the beauty of the great unknown, Sorel has been creating footwear since 1962. The name Sorel was used to invoke images of ruggedness and cold protection as Sorel, Quebec was a big WWII and post war-time shipbuilder (though the footwear was never made in Sorel!).  Sorel footwear continues to be know for its flawless construction, luxurious materials and designs that are both daring and beautiful.
